Orthodox Christian Student Living Center
The Orthodox Christian Student Living Center is a
fully-secured, privately-owned, coed housing facility certified by the
University of Illinois. Located in the southwest end of campus, it is
a easily accessible to many academic units such as the Business, Education, Engineering,
Law, Architecture, and Library Science Schools, just to name a few. Recreational and fitness facilities are
only a few blocks away. Campustown restaurants, bars and shops are within
a 5-minute walk. Resident staff is available to assist residents.
In addition, a non-residential House Director is available for personal
& spiritual counsel.
The Living Center is open during University breaks. A
10-month academic lease and a two-month summer lease are available.
Facilities at the Center include big screen TV, Dish Network, VCR, DVD,
and Stereo Unit in the Common Room, a computer lab, laundry facilities,
a chapel, and a full commercial kitchen where residents can prepare
their own meals. Alternatively, an optional meal plan allows residents to sign up for their choices of nourishing meals provided by Papa George Restaurant.
The House features central air-conditioning and heating. The rooms are singles with built in desks and large closets. There are shared bathrooms on separate floors for men and women. Monthly rent for a single room is approximately $625 per month. If desired, reserved parking is available for $60 per month. Amenities in each room include:
